Celebrate yourself with movement and dance~nourish yourself with meditation and sound AMPLIFY ~ Mind, Body, Spirit ~ Join us Sunday morning for an amazing event to kick off your day! Sunday Sanctuary where we come together to celebrate with dance and movement. Sweat your prayers, move your body however you wish, this is your time for yourself and you deserve it! After we dance and sweat, we will be gently guided back down with a nourishing sound bath by Amber Williams. This will be an intimate gathering limited spaces available. Get your tickets early, no refunds or exchanges. Tickets are $40 at the door. :: What To Bring :: You are welcome to bring your mat, pillows, blankets, and eye shades for the sound bath experience. Wear comfortable clothes to dance/relax in. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and a light snack if needed. Featuring: Eileen McNeill - Ecstatic Dance Wichita - Facilitator Eileen McNeill is a Wichita native bringing her love for ecstatic dance to this community. Eileen has trained with facilitators from the Dallas Ecstatic Dance Community learning the Five Rhythms birthed by Ecstatic Dance Mother Gabrielle Roth. Through her own dance exploration, Eileen has used this technique to heal old wounds, move past limited self beliefs, and feel free in her body. Eileen creates a beautiful container for people of all walks of life to feel safe to freely express themselves. Amber Williams - Sound Alchemist Amber Williams is an Energetic Designer, Transformational Business Mentor, Founder of the Circa81 Brand, Facilitator of sacred circles . She created Circa 81 Design by combining her intuitive gifts, design, science and her personal healing journey. Amber has combined her training in Usui/Tibetan Reiki Ryosho, Sound Therapy,Engineering, Human Design and other healing modalities to help promote a mind-body healing experience. As a Sound Alchemists, Amber channels Reiki through sound to take you on a transformative journey in her sound bath experience. __________________________________________________________ :: WHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE :: Ecstatic dance is a free-form dance in which the dancers abandon themselves to the rhythm and allow the music to guide their every step towards a state of bliss and surrender. It's about freeing your mind and body, and connecting with yourself and others in a safe space. Dance as meditation is as ancient as man himself, and free-form sacred dance is present in many cultures and spiritualities. Dance is a meditation, an honoring of our emotions, and a prayer to the divine. Dance creates a container through which we can discover, unleash, and enhance our individual potential to live a fulfilling and meaningful life. By engaging our senses and listening to our bodies, we connect to the ethers and shape a consciousness that extends beyond our own. Ecstatic dance is about expression and awareness. Awareness of oneself and of those around you. You don’t need to have ‘moves’, to participate in ecstatic dance, only the courage to let the music guide your body. Ecstatic dance has a musical arc that differs from that of a typical dance club setting. The sonic footprint of an ecstatic dance begins in silence, slowly increasing in intensity to its ultimate energetic climax (feel free to vocalize your joy!), then ramps back down to quiet solitude and eventually, silence. Dancing takes many forms through this movement-based journey, from the fluid and aqueous to the fierce and fervent. Join us as we congregate in the simple and courageous act of ecstatic dance, as we co-create movement, music, and community.
