Join us for Decatur County's Summer Kickball Tournament on June 24th, 2021 at Kohler Park! Each game will be 55min or 7 innings, whichever comes first. Official play times will be finalized and emailed to teams upon registration close. Registration: * $10 per player, * Includes a custom t-shirt, Registration Deadline: July 17th! Team Rules: * Must have 9 to 12 players per team, * Players must be 10 years or older to play Email [email protected] with any questions! RULES OF THE GAME: The object in a Kickball match is for one team to score more runs than the other, thus winning the game. Each player tries to do this by kicking the ball and running all the bases and scoring a point. When not kicking, the opposing team attempts to prevent opposition players from scoring runs and get them out by catching the ball or being forced out at a base for example. Two games will be played each night. A game consists of 7 innings or 55 minutes of play-time, whichever comes first. Unlike baseball, there are no strikeouts, leading off, or stealing bases. The play comes to an end once the ball returns to the pitcher. A player can be out in Kickball when: The ball is caught by an opposing team member They are tagged out by an opposing player The player is forced out at a base by an opposition team member To ensure safety, NO throwing the ball at a player for an out To score a run, a runner simply has to safely reach the home plate before the end of an inning. Fair play is taken very seriously and players are expected to monitor themselves and walk away if they themselves think that they are out and not wait for the referee’s decision. Any kind of cheating or poor sportsmanship will result in a player being asked to leave the field of play immediately. WOULD YOU LIKE TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
