Great food&fun
On June 19th, 1865, it was announced right here in Texas, that slaves were freed by an executive decree. Since, and even before then, education has played a huge role in the strengthening, advancement, and preservation of Black culture. Before we ever had classrooms, we had teachers; before they ever got their accolades, their contributions were noteworthy and deserved to be celebrated. On behalf of Urban Teachers Black Caucus and the Black Educators Initiative, we would like to invite you to celebrate our Black educators, past and present. Join us, Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 12:00-4:00 P.M. at Uplift Hampton. There will be food, a special guest as well as giveaways! Please feel free to invite your friends, family and colleagues. We hope to see you there!
