You are invited join the African American Leadership Institute for an evening of Professional Connections and Growth. We will gather on the terrace top deck of the grand Archer Hotel overlooking The Domain located mere steps from the lively buzz of the Rock Rose district. On Thursday June 17th starting at 5p - 9p this night of networking will highlight Personal and Professional Branding and Networking from professional marketing expert Dawn Foster of D. Foster Marketing This Series is crafted to help professionals and entrepreneurs create and leverage your personal and professional brand. The event will feature: • OPTIMAL POWER NETWORKING • Complimentary Professional Headshots • Hand-Crafted Selection of Passed Hors D Oeuvres • Samples of Soul Popped Popcorn • Complimentary Non-Alcoholic Beverages and Cash Bar • DJ Curated Sound Track Headshots will be taken by Shanita Ross with Lavaughan Photography. There will also be a make-up artist available for light touch-up. The African American Leadership Institute (AALI) is designed to enhance civic awareness and leadership opportunities to make an innovative community impact on Central Texas. AALI participants will have opportunities to make connections to affect long-term action required to create equity, opportunity and a higher quality of life for all of Austin’s citizens. It will also engage corporations to explore policy, process, and cultural aspects that can improve their ability to attract, equip, retain, and promote more Black professionals. The AALI Austin chapter will be modeled after Leadership Austin with a goal of expansion to other cities in the future. 212 Catalysts, a 501c3 nonprofit, will implement the AALI inaugural class starting in early 2021.
