Commercial Playground & Shade Installer Premier Outdoor Installations 40 Hours Guaranteed plus overtime Premier Outdoor Installations is an outdoor construction company that provides installs of commercial playground equipment, and shade structures throughout East, Central, and South Texas. POI Inc. mainly offers these services to City parks and rec, schools/ ISD's, child care centers, homeowners associations, apartment complexes, etc. We are specifically looking for an energetic individual that would like to start they're career as a playground/ shade installer / team leader. This individual will also need to have construction experience similar to or in the installation of playgrounds, shade structures, pavilions etc. Brief description of job: Commercial Playground & Park Equipment Installation (Playground, Safety Surfacing, Shade Structures, Park Amenities, Athletic Equipment) Position will be an onsite Supervisor (A Working Crew Leader). This is not a Supervisor position. Site work (General labor & assembly) - Digging, raking, working with hand tools. Concrete mixing Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds Installing concrete piers, building rebar cages, concrete forming, concrete finishing, shooting elevations. Reading and understanding construction details, specifications, installation instructions, and site plans. Using a scale ruler to determine placement of equipment and concrete pads shown on site plans/layouts. Must be able to travel to out of town jobs on a regular basis (Texas only). Approx a week or so per month. Lodging and per diem provided by Premier Outdoor Installations Training will be provided. Qualifications and Skills: Must have valid driver's license Must be eligible to work in U.S. Must speak English (Bilingual would be helpful) Must have own transportation to and from our yard/ office. General construction knowledge and experience Familiarity with tools & equipment. Bobcat/Skid Steer and experience a plus. Concrete experience needed, digging, and pouring piers, Experience using saws to cut, setting elevations, etc. Experience reading blueprints, specifications, site plans, and installation instructions. Good communication and problem-solving skills which will include instructing / helping team members in a positive and helpful manner. Professionalism a must, along with good leadership skills Good Time management, and ability to work well in team environment is a must. An honest, dependable, and very organized person will thrive in this role. A current or former Certified Playground Safety Inspector would be a huge plus but not required. Sound mechanical experience a plus. Example ( auto mechanic experience ) CDL license a plus or very experienced pulling trailers and backing trailers up. Warehouse and shop work experience is a plus. Shipping and receiving experience a plus. Insurance and benefits are not provided.
