Mon -Thu June 14th-18th Tap dancing will be offered each evening at 7:00 PM along with Samba or Bhangra at 6:00PM Gateway Dance Theatre Intro Workshops GDT celebrates Juneteenth & Pride month by offering in-person classes!!- Two classes per evening! Mon -Thurs June 14th-18th 6:00pm-8 :00 pm. Tap dancing will be offered each evening at 7PM along with Samba or Bhangra on alternate eveningsat 6PM . Come dance to World Rhythms! Pay what you wish (suggested $20/package for all classes). Jimmy Payne Jr. Guest artist with GDT is a tap dance teacher, choreographer, and performer from Chicago. He began his tap dance lessons at Jimmy Payne School of Dance. His teacher and father was the legendary dancer, Jimmy Payne. Theresa Marie is a Samba dance performer and teacher as well as a certified personal trainer and fitness coach. She performed semi-professionally in New York City for 4 years, and the Bay Area, California for many more. Nik Thota a recent graduate from Iowa State University and Founder, President, Teacher, Choreographer of THE FORUM DANCE STUDIO- a club that resembles a real-world dance studio, which allows students to train in all dance styles at every level. He formed a performing Bhangra group while attending college. Bhangra is an energetic folk dance from Northern India. Nik organized a performing Bhangra dance group in Ames. Bhangra is now very popular in Bollywood movies and Indian wedding parties.
