A family-friendly celebration event to commemorate Juneteenth by showcasing black businesses, resources, artists, performers, and more! This family-friendly celebration will not only commemorate Juneteenth as part of American History, but our goal is to use this day of celebration to highlight and showcase the history, contribution, accomplishments, and heritage of the black community in Gallatin and Sumner County. We are all a part of the history of this community in one way or another. We need all generations to know about the past to inform the present to create the future of HOPE and success that is our LEGACY. This event will focus on education, exposure, and experience of what the black community has built and what we have to offer our community and the world. We will showcase and honor Black artists (performing, fine arts, instrumentalists, bands, visual arts, poetry, comedy, etc.). We are inviting participates to perform and share stories of perspectives and life lessons that would benefit those who attend the celebration. There will also be a Black Business Expo, a Resource Fair, and a Car/Bike Show!
