Tech City Moving Company is a new company founded in the Austin area by a 15+ years industry Austin mover. We are looking for people who like to work hard and make good money for it. If you are an “athletic type” or just in relatively good shape, this job is not difficult. Whether you are a college student, a career mover, a gym rat chasing that extra pump, or Jason Statham, we have a spot for you. Movers should preferably have 1+ years of experience, but I train new movers as well. I am looking for full time and part time positions. This job does have some schedule flexibility as well. Drivers must have a decent driving record and be able to safely transport household goods while driving a 24’ Box Truck in all areas of Austin, including downtown. Although a majority of our moves are local Austin, we also do occasionally move all over the state (mostly Dallas and Houston), so highwa y transit will be involved as well. We put as much as possible on wheels (dollies, mattress carts, etc) and use high quality professional equipment. Job safety is important to us. This job involves moving a full array of furniture safely from one residential location to another. New trainees will learn everything from padding furniture, proper lifting, proper equipment use, packing/loading trucks, etc. All in all, we work hard but are pretty laid back. Having an upbeat personality and working efficiently will pay off well in the moving industry. -Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. -Must be able to run up and down several flights of stairs. *Consider this part of a physical aptitude test. We do not run on stairs with furniture.* -Must have reliable transportation, your own transportation. -Must have reasonable work schedule availability, including some weekends. This company is based in South Austin, but we will work all over the place. This is a 1099- contract position, so pay is based on percentage of job total. - $30+/hr paid weekly for Drivers - $25+/hr paid weekly to Movers - 20-50 + Hours a week - Tips typically provide a very significant increase in overall income.
