CONTRASTED- Come hang with us! Aly Davis + Julie Smith will present a course designed around all things DIMENSION on TWO live models. A little bit about the educators: Aly Davis (@alydavishair) is located in Myrtle Beach, SC and currently the director of R. Cribb the Salon. She has spent the last several years educating fellow hairstylists throughout the country, while still working behind the chair. She has been named a “Top 30 Under 30” stylist as well as Modern Salon’s “Top 100” stylists. Aly often specializes in blonding, from the boldest of blondes to more lived-in looks. Julie Smith (@thathairmagic) is located in Cleveland, TN. She co owns a salon with three other amazing women. She has also been named in Modern Salon’s Top 100 stylists. She has recently nominated in BehindTheChair’s Awards for reds and bobs and has recently started her educating journey. She specializes in dimensional brunettes + lived-in blondes. She is often recognized for her signature editing and poses. Here’s what you’ll learn: Aly + Julie will both be doing a live model application simultaneously! Aly will be presenting a bolder blonding method- including some advanced foiling placement +techniques. She will cover her go-to method of creating bold yet soft face framing (money piece). She will cover color formulation, color melting+toning, as well as some wet balayage. Julie will be presenting a partial placement using teasylight/foilayage methods. She will show how to work through the nape, crown, and sides, as well as her money piece and tip out methods. She will cover how to efficiently incorporate lowlights to maintain depth in the hair. Both Aly+Julie will open up the floor after demo for a live Q+A- where you can ask them anything! From branding, to business, to color theory- anything! Should time prevail, you will also get to see how both of them style + photograph their models for social media! What an amazing lineup, right?!
