Salem Schools Start, End Times Confirmed For 2021-22

SALEM, MA — After the coronavirus crisis caused more than a year of disruption, Salem Public Schools expect to return to a more traditional school day starting this fall. Some of the 2021-22 school start and end times released on Tuesday are significantly different than students have had this spring when schools came back into session five days per week in person. Salem High School will see among the biggest differences as it goes from a 7:24 a.m. start time and 2:02 p.m. end time now to a 7:45 a.m. arrival and 2:35 departure in September. Bates will go from 7:40 a.m. start and 1:45 p.m. departure to a 7:45 a.m. arrival and 1:50 p.m. departure. The Bentley Innovation School will go from an 8 a.m. start and 2:05 p.m. end to a 7:30 a.m. start and a 3:05 p.m. end. Carlton will go from an 8:25 a.m. start and 2:30 p.m. departure to an 8:20 a.m. start and 2:25 p.m. end. Horace Mann will go from a 7:40 a.m. start and 1:45 p.m. end to a 7:50 a.m. arrival and 1:55 p.m. departure. Witchcraft Heights will go from starting at 8:25 a.m. and leaving at 2:30 p.m. to an 8:20 a.m. start and 2:25 p.m. finish. Saltonstall will go from an 8 a.m. start and 2:05 p.m. finish to an 8 a.m. start and a 3 p.m. finish. Collins Middle School will go from an 8:30 a.m. start and 2:40 end time to 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. New Liberty will remain from a 9 a.m. start to a 3:45 p.m. end. Salem Prep will go from a 9 a.m. start and 2:25 p.m. end to an 8 a.m. start and 2:25 p.m. end. ECC will go from 8:30 a.m. to a 2:30 p.m. end to an 8:45 a.m. start and a 2:30 p.m. end.
