Learn how to add color to copper using electrostatic power coating! 1-Day Workshop Date: Saturday, August 21, 2021 Time: 10am-5pm Description: In this one-day workshop students will learn how to add color to copper using electrostatic power coating. The day will start by going over the basics of how to assemble a powder coating system at home and how to use it. Students will learn how to layer and use heat resistant tape to mask off areas. The instructor will help each student design and execute their desired project. Tuition: $95 + $30 materials fee Materials: All materials will be provided. You will be asked for your favorite color when you register so that the instructor can be sure to have your favorite on hand! In order to minimize contact with surfaces, please refrain from touching surfaces and objects unless absolutely necessary. You can use the hand sanitizing stations located throughout the building. Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop cancellations are decided three business days before the start date. If workshops must be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment, the entire class fee will be refunded through Eventbrite, or you may leave your workshop fee in your Contemporary Craft account for future workshops. Refund Policy: Student refund requests must be made at least three business days before a class begins. There will be a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given without three-business days notice. Processing of refunds takes approximately three weeks. About the Artist Courtney graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, receiving her bachelor’s in fine arts – Concentration Jewelry & Metalsmithing with minors in Business Administration and Ceramics. Currently she works from her home studio in Johnstown, PA creating jewelry and small sculptures. Her work has been exhibited nationally in locations including Lillstreet Gallery (Chicago,IL), Pocosin Arts Center, The Erie Art Museum, and Emerge Gallery.
