Our Mission:
Service Above Self, To help the Community; by our projects, actions, and in any way we can.
Dallas Rotary founded the Back Mountain Library, the Back Mountain Auction, Dallas Rotary Fair (now the Luzerne County Fall... Fair). We also founded the Rotary International's Youth Exchange Program, where high school students are sent abroad to live and study for a year, and bring foreign students to the U.S. to experience the American education system and way of life. In June of 2013, we started the Dallas Rotary Wine and Dine Festival. In 1983, we started the Annual Dallas Rotary Charity Golf Tournament and Clam Bake.
As always; the proceeds from our event are used where they are needed most – right here in our own backyard. We support the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, Salvation Army, Back Mountain Food Pantry, High School Book Scholarships, Leadership Training for High School Sophomores, Dictionary Project for 3rd graders, and a Children’s Shopping Spree for needy children just to name a few.
