ANNAPOLIS, MD — A serious crash on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge injured at least one person and caused delays Tuesday afternoon, highway officials said. Authorities did not offer an update on the injured victim(s). Officials confirmed the crash around 12:30 p.m. and shut down all three westbound lanes. By 1:46 p.m., eastbound traffic stretched for 3 miles. Westbound congestion extended for 3.5 miles before the crossing. At 2 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority said all lanes had reopened on the westbound span. EMS units on scene of crash on westbound Bay Bridge closing all lanes.
