Location: 499 Bethune Drive, Wilmington, DE 19801 (Surratte Park-New Castle County) Participants: (12 Team Youth participants Ages 9-14) Influencers Health & Wellness Basketball Tournament Time & Date: June 12th, 2021 10:00 AM-5:00 PM EST Location: 499 Bethune Drive, Wilmington, DE 19801 (Surratte Park-New Castle County) Participants: (12 Team Youth participants Ages 9-14) Highlights will include: The Covid-19 Pandemic has really disrupted our inner city’s mental state at disproportionate rates, therefore we plan on paying it forward by giving back proceeds to Nonprofits in the City of Wilmington that focus on mental health awareness and anxiety relief for black and brown communities. We have selected the non-profit organizations Sisters Supporting Sisters Foundation DE and Blue Demon Athletics, Inc. Youth Affirmation Ceremony Hosted by 7God Youth will rep the brands of tri-state area businesses that sponsor a 5-on-5 team. There will be two youth divisions: Division 1. Ages 12-14 (8 Teams) Division 2. Ages 9-11 (4 Teams) There will be other fun extracurricular activities and opportunities for influencers to participate during the event. Influencers Health & Wellness Basketball Tournament is our premier summer event dedicated to kids. The event was created out of the need to bring some normalcy to our youth during this international pandemic. We intend to give families a safe outdoor place for their kids to exercise their gifts and talents. By following the health and safety guidelines set forth by the CDC and State of Delaware Governor, John Carney, we were able to select 12 teams (youth ages 9-14) to participate in a fun & safe game of 5-on-5 basketball. As we created this event to serve as an opportunity to give back to our community, all youth will participate at no cost.
