Hello! My name is Meagan and I am a professional musician offering private summer piano lessons for beginner students in North Kitsap and Bainbridge Island. I will come to you for in-home instruction, and am currently accepting new students for the summer season. I am the founder, lead singer, songwriter and musician of a local indie-rock band, and my band has toured both nationally and internationally. My music has been featured in The Seattle Times, on KEXP 90.3 FM, and most recently on Netflix. Throughout my music career, I have worked extensively with children, teaching vocal performance and piano. During the school year, I teach vocal music classes at Greenwood Elementary in the Seattle Public School District for students in grades K-5. My lessons involve theory, technique, performance, and confidence-building. I love music and I believe it can be a very powerful outlet, especially for children. It is my hope that my students leave my lessons feeling energized, inspired, and empowered through music. Students will need a piano or keyboard at home. I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and will wear a mask during lessons. 30 minute lessons are $35, plus an additional one-time fee of $15 for lesson books.
