By Meteorologist Ashton Altieri, CBS Denver June 8, 2021 DENVER (CBS4) – The photogenic tornado that struck Weld County Monday evening could be seen for miles in virtually every direction. That allowed for many thousands of people to get a great view. CBS4 viewer Tanner Stolz took this photo of the tornado at County Roads 49 & 36. The storm that spawned the tornado between Firestone and Platteville shortly after 5 p.m. Monday moved slowly north allowing the tornado to be visible for at least 30 minutes. During that time, the tornado tracked at least 5 miles which is a relatively long distance for a Colorado tornado.
