LAKEWOOD, NJ — Children age 16 or older who have developmental disabilities and their parents can get the COVID-19 vaccine through a program arranged by the Lakewood schools, Chemed Health and RWJ Barnabas Health, officials announced. The vaccinations, with the Pfizer vaccine, are being offered by appointment only and are for special education students who attend school in Lakewood or live in Lakewood. Registration for the appointments can be done here. Once registered, you will receive your scheduled vaccination date and time. Vaccinations will begin on Wednesday. Parents who meet the state's eligibility guidelines may request a vaccine as well. Parents/guardians must accompany their child in order to receive the vaccine.
