She has developed a plan to get you back to your uber-hostess self, all part of the ‘Girl on Grill’ revolution to learn how to grill like a pro – whether you’re a guy or a gal. “I love entertaining and am so excited that we are back at it,” says Ibrahim, Founder of eatcleaner.com,” but even I am out of practice and it feels a bit daunting. But I have been grilling with my dad since I was a young girl, and the secret is - it’s easy and pretty much foolproof. I want to spread the word, it’s the key to relaxed entertaining.” Chef Mareya is passionate about grilling. You can cook just about anything, from paleo to vegan, pizza to peaches, go around the globe with your spices, or even an elegant 3-course meal including dessert, and have it taste amazing without a lot of clean up. Why are so many women intimidated to grill? Maybe because it has traditionally been seen as a male role. It’s time to break the stereotype that “Women Cook and Men Grill” for many reasons, but the most compelling one probably is that you don’t have to be a great cook to provide a great meal with grilling. A meat thermometer is essential to check your poultry and ground beef especially. A good grilling spatula and long tongs that are heavy-duty for the grill are key. ● Copper grill mats help dummy-proof grilling. Fill foil pouches with seafood and veggies, add on your flavor bomb, put them on the grill, come back in 10 minutes and they’re done! No tending and flipping. Easy, flavorful, healthful, and individually proportioned. ● You’ve got to have a veggie basket; no separate flipping is needed, keep it simple!
