FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Village Board approved several appointments to its village commissions at the Monday board meeting. The board approved an appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission, and two appointments for its Plan Commission. David Toepper was appointed to a three-year term to the historic preservation commission. The Historic Preservation Commission was first established in 1994, and it works to promote, protect and enhance Frankfort's historic district and buildings, according to the village website. Two vacancies on the Plan Commission were available due to the resignation of Kristin Michuda and the election of Michael Leddin to Village Trustee, Mayor Keith Ogle said. The board unanimously appointed Nichole Schaeffer to fill the remainder of Leddin's term; and David Hogan to fill the remainder of Michuda's term. Both terms expire on April 30, 2023. The Plan Commission reviews planning issues like rezoning, variances, special use, planned unit developments and subdivision requests, according to the village website. "We thank all of you for stepping up for your service here," Ogle said. For more news and information like this, subscribe to the Frankfort Patch for free.
