Description
CULVER CITY, CA — Grill Concepts, the parent company of Public School, Daily Grill and Grill on the Alley restaurants, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy, EaterLA reports.
The restaurants are generally close to office buildings and corporate sites and have taken a major hit in the pandemic.
Public School is a school-themed gastropub and has several locations in Los Angeles, including Culver City, Sherman Oaks and Los Angeles. Public School is open and located at 9411 Culver Blvd, Culver City.
The bankruptcy move is an effort to help consolidate debt, according to media reports. The Beverly Hills and Westlake Village locations of Grill on the Alley were sold off to BH White Corp.
Daily Grill in Santa Monica and Studio City remain closed temporarily. The locations in Century City, Burbank and Palm Desert are open for dining.
