BERKELEY, CA — The city of Berkeley wants residents to learn from their neighbors how to make their living spaces greener.
The city is showcasing 12 East Bay homes during two virtual tours this month.
Sunday's 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tour will be the second one held this month. The first one was held Sunday (June 6).
The events will showcase sustainability features including all-electric appliances, solar and battery storage, native gardens, and electric vehicle charging.
Each tour will be followed by a live Q&A with residents and homeowners.
For those considering upgrades of their own, experts will be on hand to answer questions about heat pumps, air quality, solar storage, power outages, rebates, and more.
The event will also include a induction cooking demonstration.
