Nameless the Redfoot tortoise is up for adoption. I thought he was a female when I got him, but I now know I was mistaken. Nameless is 900 grams and thriving. He eats every day and has yet to miss a meal. Redfoots are one of the best tortoise species to keep as pets. They are somewhat larger than their Mediterranean counterparts, but not so large as Sulcatas and Leopard tortoises. They are easily the most outgoing and personable of all the tortoises. And they will outlive you. Nameless comes out of his hide every morning to see me. I already have a male, and they’ll start fighting soon. My loss is your gain. There is a rehoming fee.
