Job Description Aquatics & Swim Program Manager As our first Aquatics Manager here in Greater San Diego, your role will be to help us recruit, train, coach, and develop a team of new dynamic and fun-focused Swim Instructors as we grow the British Swim School Program in San Diego. We're already famous nationwide for our fun and gentle approach to student engagement and progression - now we have the opportunity to make the case here in San Diego! What do we need from you? We're looking for an enthusiastic, assertive personality, with some experience in building effective relationships and delivering a great customer experience. We need someone who feels ready for the challenge of being involved with a start-up operation and all the excitement and challenge that brings. To be effective you'll need; · Effective leadership experience - ideally gained in a fun and trust-based environment. · Strong Aquatics experience - have you run any swim programs or children-focused activities already? · The personal disciplines to follow and enforce schedules, company policies and enforce safety procedures. · An ability to lead, supervise, train, and coach people on your team · The ability to demonstrate freestyle, back, breast, and ideally butterfly swim strokes. What are the main challenges? You'll be working directly with the Franchise Business Owner on a wide variety of our priorities - but in the main, you'll focus on everything in the pool. You'll start with · Hiring and training our team of Swim Instructors. · Helping build out the schedule of classes and the team · Setting teaching standards by conducting our classes. · Working directly with our parents and helping them become happy members of their new 'swim family'. · Upholding the standards of our classes and training instructors to our high company standards. · Managing our pool locations' kit used for lessons. · Being a vital part of our overall business development Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience. · American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent. · CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification What can you expect in return? - Lots of variety and a great learning experience - The chance to shape our growth and culture - Flexible hours and good rewards as we grow.
