St. Stephen's Episcopal School is seeking a full time Groundskeeper to join our team! Employees in this job perform maintenance and landscaping duties at our campus facilities. This is an entry level groundskeeper position with room to grow and advance. Job Duties: Plant and trim lawns, trees, bushes, hedges and shrubs using hand tools or motorized vehiclesLandscape new ground areas, repair damaged ground areas, and replace bushes, hedges, shrubs and treesCare for and maintain seed orchards. Produce and care for nursery stock, fertilize soil when needed for plant growth, and plant flower beds.Apply herbicide and pesticide chemicals to grounds, trees, bushes, shrubs and lawns in order to control plant diseases and insectsRemove landscaping debris from sidewalks and parking lotsOrder supplies for all aspects of groundskeeping (e.g., equipment parts, blades, herbicides, pesticides, flowers, bushes or trees)Drive vehicles, such as a car, truck or van, to pick up other workers, supplies and materialsPerform related work as assigned Job Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAbility to communicate effectively We offer:Health, dental and vision plansLife and Long Term Disability insurancePaid time offRetirement plan with School matching contributionsFree meals provided in dining hallEqual access to employment, programs and services is available to all.
