Description
Hey!
I'm a guitar player interested in finding people to write songs with. My interests are all over the place, and I pretty much will listen to and find enjoyment in anything. But this is specifically writing for any style that ranges from Americana/Folk/Powerpop/Rock/Alt-country/Heartland Rock/Indie/Lo-fi/Roots Rock. These are bands that I am interested in: X, John Doe, The Rolling Stones, The Old 97s, Wilco, Uncle Tupelo, Waylon Jennings, Buddy Holly, Marshall Crenshaw, The Beatles, Songs: Ohia, Steve Earle, Tom Petty, Alejandro Escovedo, Bruce Springsteen, Son Volt, Whiskeytown, Social Distortion, The Band, The Byrds.
I'm 35 and would prefer to work with people within the same age range, give or take 5-8 years. Gender no issue. I'm mainly looking for someone or multiple people to write songs with and I don't care if this is someone who plays guitar, bass, piano, drums, harmonica, lap steel, fiddle, or other instruments, or just write lyrics/sing. I'd love to find people to trade ideas with and get second opinions from and collaborate to finish/help when stuck on something. I'd be working with a few different guitars and a Twin Reverb and a lap steel. Currently, no place to really play very loudly but we can trade ideas through song files, zoom, or rent a space for a few hours or trade ideas at a lower volume. Also, I don't care about skill level. I'd consider myself an intermediate player, and more importantly, I'm not a jerk, so please don't feel intimidated by skill level. If you're interested in any of the above, please reach out.
