We believe in growing, promoting, and offering continuous opportunities to develop personally and professionally. As we grow, we are seeking a full-time Detailer based in our SE Portland location. The Detailer will be responsible for final detailed cleaning of vehicles prior to customer delivery and maintaining the body shop, organize and clean tools and equipment in accordance with quality standards. Our ideal Detailer will use proper techniques and equipment, be precise and careful with the vehicles, be thorough and timely in completing their detail work, and thrive in a busy environment. Responsibilities: • Transport vehicles on and off site; keep outside lot cleaned and organized • Clean interior of vehicles: remove trash, vacuum and shampoo carpet and upholstery, and wipe other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents • Clean exterior of vehicles using pressure and automatic washer • Wet sand, apply wax, and buff vehicles to protect surfaces and preserve shine using cloth and/or buffer • Refurbish and/or restore headlights • Inspect vehicles thoroughly prior to release to customers • Clean and maintain shop tools and equipment • Notify Team Coordinator of any damage, breakdowns, and maintenance needs of tools and equipment • Ensure lot maintains a professional appearance • Remove cardboard and scrap metal from shop • Sweep shop floors and all work areas • Empty all garbage cans in the shop • Keep loaner cars cleaned, maintained, and ready to go Requirements: • Minimum of 1+ years of related work experience • Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record • Skill in operating tools and equipment required for detailing • Willingness to learn new and better ways of performing detail procedures • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Reliable, cooperative team player with great attention to detail For immediate consideration, please drop off your resume at our office: 7510 SE FOSTER RD McCollum Auto Body is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
