We are a small general contractor that executes projects for State of Missouri/Kansas, City and County governments and federal agencies. The jobs are typically school additions, parks and recreation community buildings and parks improvements in the Kansas City metro area. We are looking for a Lead Carpenter/Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient on how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades listed below. The position is based out of Kansas City but occasional travel may be required. Regardless of travel, you will be home every night. It is crucial that you are a great communicator with clients, subcontractors, and company management. We work with a positive attitude and expect our team to be a leader for other team members in jobsites. This is not an entry-level position. Applicant needs to be proficient at the following trades: - Drywall installation - Drywall finishing - Painting - Caulking - Casework - Window and door installation - Rough and finish carpentry - Minor electrical - More construction-related tasks as needed - Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred - Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred - Understanding spec books and government jobs is a plus - In the State of Missouri, prevailing wage applies for any jobs over $75,000 All tools are provided, but you can also bring your own. If you do not have your OSHA 10 certification the company will pay for you to get it. This is a great position for someone who wants to continue building out their skillset at a supportive company. Applicant must be able to pass a background check/drug screen and be legal to work in the United States.
