Experienced drummer looking for like minded musicians

Medeski Martin and Wood, Electric Miles Davis, Headhunters, Club Delf. This is some of the music that comes to mind when I think about inspiration and creativity. I'm a drummer/percussionist who's been playing for close to 30 years in search of some unique musicians who want to create some original music. I'm heavy into improvisation but also can bust out a jazz standard so looking for people who have the ability to do those but more importantly anything in between. Not necessarily looking to create an actual band but more like find musicians who I can connect to(Musically and personally) and play something that is fresh and exciting. Ever just sit down with a couple people with no pre planned music and just let yourself go for a half hour? If so you should reach out.
