Automotive Inspector An Automotive Inspector is responsible for providing complete documentation of a vehicle's condition. If you've got an eye for all that's right and wrong with everything on wheels, this could be the role for you. Inspectors look over vehicles to identify the flaws and faults, assess repairs and costs, document it all, and make recommendations to us on repairs. WE'RE LOOKING FOR A self-motivated person to join our growing wholesale organization. They will need to have a keen eye for detail in order to best understand and represent the vehicle's condition prior to resale along with confidence that their exterior, interior and mechanical assessment will combine with vehicle images to form a detailed condition report that wholesale buyers can rely on. It would be great if you had a general knowledge of automotive components. Some experience with estimating auto repairs is a plus. THE QUALIFYING CANDIDATE MUST HAVE High School diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience in the automobile field (i.e., body mechanic shop, inspections, etc.) preferred Body, paint and mechanical knowledge a plus Valid state issued driver's license and safe driving record required Ability to operate a motor vehicle Ability to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods of time Ability to bend, stoop, squat or kneel Ability to hold at least 10 lbs for an extended period Vision abilities required including close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus Regular and consistent availability and attendance Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on our property and auction lots safely. Prepare and complete all necessary documentation. Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles including, powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components. Functions as a solid team player and works closely with teammates, field wholesale team members, and dealer success to create a superior customer experience. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
