Beware of rehoming fees

Many very bad people are using CL as their own personal selling grounds. Charging almost as much as per stores for animals they do not want and wanting to be paid for it. The "well only good people have money", argument is a weak one. The "small adoption fee", is laughable as well I've seen pets SOLD on CL for up to 1000. A few weeks back someone posted a thread for 2 rats and wanted multiple hundreds of dollars because they decided to spend multiple hundreds on rats they decided they don't want. Irresponsible people like these should not be rewarded and there should be a cap on the "rehoming adoption fee". It needs to be called what it is as well. "Paying for a pet we don't want anymore". Charge whatever you want 5 bucks or 1000 bucks doesn't make the person a good person. The person with 5 bucks could take loving care of the animals and the 1000 dollar payer could be taking the shepard to a puppy mill. End this already. Thanks for reading.
