DOGGY DAYCARE HANDLER & OVERNIGHT HANDLER NEEDED

We are an established doggy daycare in the Greenpoint area who is looking for an experienced dog handler that has a good knowledge of dog behavior & has amazing customer service skills. This is a company that truly loves dogs and takes great pride in providing exceptional customer service and care to our clients. We have grown our business through referrals and reputation over the past 13 years and are looking for someone who can help our team maintain that consistent level of service. You need to be a positive person, someone who is easy to talk to and enjoys human interaction as well. You will be managing about 10-23 dogs in a group play environment. We do not separate dogs by size, so you must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes socializing together and command them effectively. You will be on your feet your entire shift and constantly managing and interacting with the dogs and keeping them engaged and ‘busy’. You are expected to keep the play area's up to DOH standards and the dogs safe. Most importantly keep them all happy! At times you will be the point of contact for front desk interactions and phone calls. You must be computer literate and able to effectively learn our system. You will be required to know all services we offer and answer questions in an educated way. We do not have crates/cages for the overnights. There is a bed for the handler and also dog beds. You are responsible for feedings, medications, record keeping and encouraging them to rest at night. There are 2 positions available. Please mention which position you are interested in when replying. 1.) Daycare Handler - Full or part time $15.50 p/h 2.) Overnight Handler - part-time, must be available Thursday and Sunday nights. $15 p/h THEY PAY IS ON THE BOOKS-this means you must have a Social Security # or visa to work in the U.S. should you be from another country.
