Ring in Lachat's opening season with good old fashioned summer fun! Everyone will receive their very own Lachat Town Farm Nature Trail Map, designed by our friends at Sustainable Weston. While you’re taking in the beautiful surroundings on our trail, you’ll watch scenes from Shakespeare’s plays performed by students from the the Acting Gym. These high school students have been practicing all week with renowned teacher, Brian Carter, at Lachat for this special performance. Or listen to music in the meadow performed by talented local artists. Come create your own flower crown, get a henna tattoo, or dance around our maypole. Wildlife in Crisis will also be in attendance to release one of their owls. This Midsummer Celebration Day will be fun for the whole family, whether with kids or without. To control numbers due to Covid, we are asking all attendees to pre-register. If sold out, we will not allow any walk-ins. Ticketed attendees can come anytime between 12pm - 5pm. Lachat Town Farm's mission is to provide ways to unite all generations around a community farm effort by celebrating Weston CT's farming roots and offering extensive educational programs related to agriculture, the environment, sustainability, nutrition, and the arts while fostering an appreciation for the history of Weston and it's diverse community
