With our 48th Annual Tour, we are excited to be able to showcase some of Irvington's beautiful homes, and classy cars of all kinds. **We will be following all CDC & Marion County health guidelines at all locations during this event** The Benton House Association proudly presents its annual Benton House Tour of Homes and Classy Car Show on Sunday, September 19th from 12 pm to 5pm. Celebrating its 48th year, this year’s tour features many historical homes and landmarks, showcasing the rich history and architectural diversity of the Irvington community.  We are proud to present 9 homes in addition to The Benton House and The Bona Thompson Memorial Center:  358 S. Audubon Rd.40 S. Ritter Ave.5601 E. St. Clair St.6641 Spring Brook N Dr.51 N. Irvington Ave.Be sure to stop by the Benton House to take a tour of this magnificent piece of Indianapolis history. We will also be featuring the classy car show on the Benton House grounds as well as featuring live music by Audio Diner, and Dogs To Go by Uncle Zo  will be on site to satisfy your taste buds again this year. All proceeds from the Tour & Car Show benefit the maintenance of this historic gem located at 312 South Downey Avenue. Tickets are $15 in advance of the tour and $20 the day of the tour. Tickets can be purchased at any of the tour stops on the day of the tour. Those buying their ticket with a credit card on the day of the tour need to do so at The Benton House. *Additional in person purchase locations will be added closer to the Tour. The annual Benton House Tour of Homes is the biggest fundraiser for the Historic Benton House. All proceeds from the tour will go directly towards the upkeep and maintenance of the house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Proceeds from past tours have gone towards permanent signage in the front yard, a new slate roof, gutters and downspouts, new event chairs, landscaping, and foundation repairs, just to name a few. We appreciate your support for this important event. Built in 1873, the Benton House was once home of Butler University president Dr. Allen R. Benton. It's currently seeing yet another boom of new business moving in. The home tour is also one of the the first in the lineup of great events during the fall in Irvington, culminating with Irvington's famous Halloween festival. Make this year's Home Tour your reason to "Discover Irvington" The Benton House is maintained through the volunteer support of The Benton House Association under the administration of the Irvington Historic Landmarks Foundation.The Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
