Queen Bonobo (Maya Golblum & Alex Cope) Maya Goldblum (a.k.a. Queen Bonobo) is a North Idaho native whose primary goal in relocating to Ireland in 2016 was to study the music of her ancestral roots. She lived abroad for three years, all of which lent to the creation of her latest EP, Sail From This Life, recorded a week before leaving Ireland. The EP portrays the tumultuous transformational side of her time abroad and the ways she learned to shed her fears, doubts, and self-judgement, in order to get out of her own way. Moving forward, Goldblum plans to take the momentum of her EP on tour. She has rebuilt an enthusiastic following locally and wants to spiral out into the West Coast and beyond to expand her artistry and tribe. Maya and Alex Cope met only a year ago, and have been performing consistently together since. The duo’s strength lies in their luscious harmonies and opposing natures. Maya writes original music with a whimsical yet powerful feel while Alex is a force of nature that lures the audience in with her voice and theatrical presence. The unsuspecting duo has grown immensely this year and looks forward to reaching greater audiences as well as incorporating a rhythm section into upcoming gigs. Lucas Brookbank Brown Born and raised in the Inland Northwest, Lucas Brookbank Brown is a folk, blues and Americana musician who has worn many hats over the course of his career. From swaggering rock ’n’ roll front man and multi-instrumentalist to endearing wordsmith and songwriter, Brown has shown ample times over his diversity and proficiency in the wide world of music. In addition to performing his original solo material, Brown is the frontman of the indie-folk band The Folk Crimes, plays guitar and bass in numerous regional music acts, and hosts a weekly Open Mic night and a regular funk jam in his hometown of Spokane, WA. His first full band EP, Everything Means Something Out Here, was released on June 5th, 2020, and Brown is currently in the process of writing and recording his first full-length record, slated for release early next year. The Festival at Sandpoint is celebrating its 38th annual summer concert series, August 6 - 16 2020 with eight nights of eclectic music under the stars, on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Since 1983, the non-profit Festival at Sandpoint has hosted its internationally renowned summer concert series in a casual and relaxed atmosphere at Memorial Field, in Sandpoint, Idaho. The Festival is audience friendly. It is a customized concert experience without equal. You can feast on fabulous food and beverages on "Festival Street," or bring your own picnic basket and cooler from home.
