Causing riots and starting pandemonium, Ed Black is known for putting on a fun and witty show. Combining his goofy and spontaneous personality with crowd interactions he leaves everyone in tears. At the age of 21, this New Orleans native began to hone and practice his comedic skills. Ed Black has always had a passion for entertaining people and making them laugh. ​Inspired by watching comedians Eddie Murphy, Bill Burr, and Kevin Hart, Ed Black (being the class clown he was) knew exactly what he wanted to be; a stand-up comedian. He cultivated his easygoing and versatile style in many open mic. It was not until he relocated to Portland, OR his journey as a stand-up comedian truly began.  May 2015, Ed Black began his life in Portland. And boy did he hit the ground running. Three months after his relocation he has been featured in 7 comedy shows, showcases, and a very prestigious contest. The following are: Midnight Mass, Mynority Retort, Helium’s Funniest Comic Contest (semi- finalist), Control Yourself Showcase, Seezin’s Comedy Fest After Party, and Earthquake Hurricane.
