Hallcrest Vineyard's | Music 2-5PM | Donation based California songwriter Maya McNeil is joined by multi-instrumentalist Ben Pearl as duo, The Lilac and the Apple. Friends and collaborators through many years and landscapes, they will be drawing from McNeil’s original works, and celebrating musical folk heroes and mentors such as Kate Wolf and Utah Phillips. The duo draws their name from Wolf’s same titled song, about two old plant friends, asking if people will come and connect with the land once more. McNeil has been picking up speed on their first full length indie-folk album, Waiting For The Light To Change, which went into production just before the COVID19 shutdown. Pandemic blues or bust, the album’s first single and title track will be released Summer 2021. With beautiful and heartwarming vocal harmonies, and a diversity of storytelling tunes in store, come enjoy some live, safe outdoor music and Santa Cruz mountain wine on Sunday June 27th, 2-5pm at Hallcrest Vineyards in Felton, CA. Lille æske in Danish means “lille box.” This handcrafted arthouse features an intimate venue for visual arts, live music, culinary events, and private space rentals. Nestled in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains, patrons of the space enjoy a unique connectedness while experiencing visual arts by local artists and merchandise from local artisans that they can purchase and take home. On evenings and weekends, the arthouse is filled with live music shows in a wholesome intimate setting.
