Update: 10:20 p.m., Monday SARASOTA, FL — A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of US 301 (N. Washington Boulevard) and 13th Street Monday afternoon, Sarasota police tweeted. The cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, which shut down all southbound lanes of US 301 between 17th Street and 12th Street. The lanes reopened around 3:30 p.m. The crash remains under investigation, police said.
