Window-ology is a family owned Window Covering Retailer serving the entire East Bay for over 29 years. We are experiencing phenomenal growth in our company and are in need of installation professionals to help us grow. We are looking for a Window covering and Exterior Awnings Installer. If you have experience in the construction field or if you are mechanically inclined, can read a tape measure and use tools you could be that candidate. You will be responsible for maintaining Window-ology's high Customer service standards and procedures to ensure that we deliver a 5 star experience to every guest. Key Responsibilities: - Measures windows and install blinds and shades and awnings for residential and commercial customers - Ensures all completed measures & installations are accurately documented & transmitted to the Install Team immediately upon completion. - Adheres to scheduled appointments and arrives at all appointments on time. - Follows all standards and procedures including material handling and work processes. - Provides exceptional customer service, and remains friendly, polite, courteous, and professional at all times. - Works to identify solutions with installation orientation or placement of the shades on-site when necessary. - Ensures that all materials, field supplies, and equipment are maintained and accurately inventoried at all times. - Provides care for customers' property to ensure it remains protected and undamaged. - 2+ years of installation (cabinets, doors/windows, molding, flooring, awnings), finished carpentry, remodeling/renovations experience or equivalent experience. - 1+ years in customer service - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Professional appearance and demeanor - Excellent written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and customers - Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, safety guidelines and procedure manuals - Basic math skills required. Ability to read a tape measure and convert nominal measurements - Current and valid driver's license - Ability to pass a background check, clean driving record. - Ability to lift a maximum of 75 lbs, and climb up and down ladders to heights of 16ft - We provide all tools and Van This position may require traveling up to 100 miles from home per day. Window-ology will provide a van to use solely for this position. Hours range from 9 am- 6 pm, although specific hours can vary, and the typical work week consists of 40 hours per week. Flexible shifts and weekend work are required. Warehouse duties include, shipping and receiving, inventory management, Doing simple repairs on products, helping out in our factory assembling and building products and other duties as assigned.
