Description
Summary: The Maintenance Technician, under the direction and supervision of the Facilities Director and Property Manager, maintains and repairs all common property not maintained and repaired by a third party. The Maintenance Technician will also perform in unit maintenance services. The Maintenance Technician is expected to be available for emergencies or overtime in special circumstances to complete projects or meet deadlines. Physical Duties: Perform general residential related work orders as assigned by the Facilities Director and or Property. Patch and paint the common areas or interior units of the buildings. Troubleshooting and repair of electrical outlets or circuits. Repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, drain lines, p-traps, shower or bathtub valve and cartridge replacement, as well as snaking drains. Carpentry work such as installing baseboard, door casing, repairing cabinetry, assembling furniture & shelving, flooring repairs or replacement, and repairing windows or doors. Procuring, loading, unloading and moving materials, and running errands for the Maintenance Department Assist in the performance of preventive maintenance work orders Clean and paint non-operating mechanical equipment Provide light HVAC duties: perform in-unit HVAC filter and HVAC trouble shooting. Life safety alarm system check, such as replacing carbon and smoke alarms. Emergency Response: Maintain preparedness for emergency response to flood, fire, power outage, earthquake and other disaster Respond to property emergencies as assigned. Teamwork & Customer Service: Be prepared to assist team members with tasks not strictly related to this job description Proactively communicate, source parts, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Assist with coordination and scheduling vendors with tenants. Be a team player and to contribute to the creation of an enjoyable, productive and safe work environment Display high morale, integrity, loyalty and professionalism at all times Minimum 2 years working as a Maintenance Technician in a residential setting such as apartments or condos Ability to work on-call as needed 2B Living Property Management is an Equal Opportunity Employer Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
