CALLING ALL GARDENING ENTHUSIASTS ! FREE Wilkinsburg Garden Tour July 25, 2021, 1pm-4pm Free, and all ages Come join us ! The FREE Tour around our 11 gardens will be self-guided. 4 main gardens (Listed below) will distribute maps. At each garden, attendees will be able to discuss aspects of the garden (e.g., its history, the design, plants) with the owner/steward of the garden and receive free packets of pollinator flower seeds for their own yards. We encourage you to register for the tour so that we can plan on food, beverages and programs needed. We look forward to meeting you! Squonk (Formerly known as Squonk Opera) will be preforming a live music show at 2pm! with a Children's Bee Flag Making activity at 1pm. -happening at the former Penn Lincoln Hotel site on Penn Ave. (1000 Center St is the Grass Lot at the corner of Center St & Penn Ave) ONLY 4 gardens will have all of the following items: 1. The program with information about each garden and a map of all the gardens2. FREE native pollinator plant seed packets3. Water and Snacks4. Merch Table with :T-shirts, greeting cards made by a local Wilkinsburg Artist, and other garden items for sale The Four Gardens are:1. Sleeping Octopus, 1300 Wood St. 2. The North Avenue Bird Habitat and Pollinator Garden, 718 North Ave. 3. Grace and Fruit Pollinator Gardens and Orchard, 1300 Swissvale Ave. 4. Rise and Shine Garden, 1401 Marlboro Ave. *One additional garden, the Wilkinsburg Community Ministry Pantry Garden at 707 Franklin Avenue will have programs but no other items. See you on July 25 th !
