STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is investigating a serious hit and run collision that occurred on Sunday night in Stamford.
Around 11:23 p.m. on Sunday, officers were dispatched to the area of Wilson Street on the bridge that crosses I-95 on a report of a person who was found in the roadway, possibly struck by a motor vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 45 year-old Stamford resident, was transported to Stamford Hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to a news release. The pedestrian is currently listed in critical condition in the ICU at Stamford Hospital.
Police said the vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled the scene and it has not yet been located. The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is attempting to identify the vehicle and driver involved and is asking anyone that may have seen the collision, or has any other information to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad at (203) 977-4712.
This collision is being investigated by Sgt. Jeffrey Booth and Police Officer Dan Oliva.
