MCLEAN, VA — Fairfax County voters will head to the polls Tuesday, June 8 to decide Democratic primary races for Virginia governor, lieutenant governor, and attorney general, as well as House of Delegates primaries in select districts. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The primary will determine which Democratic Party candidates will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot. The Virginia Republican Party has already chosen its candidates for the Nov. 2 election during a May 8 convention. How to Vote in the Primary Election Residents registered to vote in Virginia can vote in Tuesday's primary election by visiting their polling place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Voters who are in line by 7 p.m. will be allowed to vote. Residents can look up their polling place and confirm they are registered to vote at www.elections.virginia.gov/citizen-portal. Voters may also see the maps of polling places in Fairfax County. An acceptable form of ID is required for in-person voting.
