NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating three shootings, one fatal, since Friday. Just before 11 p.m. Friday, a Shotspotter alert and multiple 911 calls about two people being shot on Button Street, between Lamberton Street and Rosette Street, police found two 28-year-old New Haven men suffering from gunshot wounds. Taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, both were listed in stable condition. Two hours later, at around 1 a.m. Saturday, 911 calls about a man being shot, brought police to South Genesee Street, near the intersection of Harper Avenue. There, they found an 18-year-old New Haven man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, he is listed in stable condition. Three hours later, around 4:20 a.m. several 911 calls brought cops to the 100 block of Springside Avenue where they found a 37-year-old New Haven man who had been fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the Police contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
