GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Narcotics Section conducted a drug bust which resulted in the arrest of a Stamford man on May 26. Police obtained information that Kyle Mangan, 27, of Stamford, was allegedly selling alprazolam pills — also known as Xanax — to people in the Town of Greenwich. A transaction was negotiated between the suspect and undercover police via cell phone. According to police, Mangan agreed to meet at a negotiated time and place. Mangan ended up selling 50 alprazolam pills to undercover officers, and he was subsequently arrested for the sale of a controlled substance. Police said he was in possession of "23 folds" containing suspected heroin/fentanyl, and a fixed blade knife with approximately a five inch blade. A search warrant was applied for and served at Mangan's residence, located on Towne Street in Stamford. Police said approximately 300 more alprazolam pills were located and seized as well as small amounts of cocaine, heroin and marijuana. Mangan was release on a "Promise To Appear" bond. He was assigned a court date of June 11.
