Evaluating the Lower Extremity Muscular Activation with Thin Wire EMG
25 YEARS OR OLDER?
NO HISTORY OF FOOT/ANKLE PROBLEMS?
This is a research study at the University of South Carolina to study the amount of muscle activation produced by everyday movements involving the foot and ankle. This information will help provide insight into the functioning of a healthy ankle to allow the comparison of normal ankle function to ankle function in ankle muscle/tendon disorders.
This study will take place at Palmetto Health-USC Orthopedic Center rehabilitation facility’s MAP Biomechanics lab located at 102 Saluda Pointe Lexington, SC 29072. Time required to complete study will be approximately 2 hours over the course of one or two visits. Participants will be compensated.
