HINDS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE PARTNERS WITH JOBS FOR JACKSONIANS TO RECRUIT DETENTION OFFICERS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9
(JACKSON, Miss) – The Hinds County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Jobs for Jacksonians program, will hold a job fair Wednesday, June 9 seeking to recruit detention officers. Interviews will be conducted on-site. The job fair will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Tougaloo Community Center, 318 Vine Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39213. Due to COVID-19, we will be abiding with the local and state guidelines to ensure safety of prospective applicants. Everyone must wear a face covering at all time.
Candidates must:
Pass a background check Pass a drug test Be at least 21 years of age Have high school diploma or GED Have no prior felony convictions Have no serious misdemeanor convictions Benefits include:

The program also offers an array of services and training opportunities to assist job-seekers. In addition to recruiting sessions, the program offers job readiness workshops, job search/placement assistance and an annual job fair. Other services, such as assistance with writing a professional resume, leadership/professional development and interviewing techniques, are available as well.
