Press release from the City of Shakopee: June 1, 2021 The Shakopee Fire Department is seeking men and women to join our highly trained and skilled team of part-time firefighters who operate out of two Shakopee fire stations. Applications are currently being accepted for part-time firefighters. Candidates must reside within a 10-minute response time to a fire station, have a valid driver's license and be at least 18 years old. Part-time firefighters work scheduled monthly shifts and receive on-the-job education and training, as well as pension benefits, leadership opportunities and more.
