Press release from Minneapolis Public Schools: June 5, 2021 There are two more months before school starts, and it won't be long before we see back-to-school supplies in stores. We want to share a few important tips for families whose student(s) will be changing schools or joining MPS for the first time in the fall. If you received notice of your child's enrollment in a school, you need to also register them in person at that school to confirm their spot. School staff are out for the summer, so please stop by either of our Student Placement Offices or convenient pop-up placement sites to complete the registration process and confirm your student's spot in their new school. July 11 MLK Park, 6-8 p.m. 4055 Nicollet Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55409 July 12 North Commons Park, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. 1801 N. James Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55411 July 19 Powderhorn Park, Noon-1:30pm 3400 15th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55407 July 25 Green Central Park, 5-7 p.m. 3416 4th Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55408 Students enrolled and registered by July 29 are guaranteed bus transportation on the first day of school and will be notified in late August of their bus stop, if they are eligible for transportation. We cannot ensure transportation on the first day for those who register after July 29. So register now!
