CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police are asking for the community's help identifying a suspect they say is wanted in the recent theft of a motorcycle from outside a Cornelius business. According to Cornelius Police Department, a blue BMW S1000 motorcycle was reported stolen from the Mattress Express parking lot, locate at 19601 Statesville Road in Cornelius on Thursday, June 3. The victim told police the motorcycle was stolen between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The unknown suspect is a white male with brown hair and a bead. He was last seen wearing a light blue polo shirt and khaki pants, police said. CPD said that anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to call Cornelius Police at 704-892-7773 or North Mecklenburg Crimestoppers at 704-896-7867.
