CMS' Class of 2021 Rakes In $122 Million In Scholarships

CHARLOTTE, NC — Class of 2021 seniors in the Charlotte metro have been awarded more than 2,500 college scholarships totaling $122.4 million, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said Monday. All total, 2,548 scholarships were awarded to Class of 2021 students. The reported award level was down more than $31 million from the previous year, according to CMS data. In 2020, the school district reported seniors earned nearly $154 million in scholarships. Of the 2021 amount, nearly $104 million were for academics about nearly $19 million were athletic scholarships.
